International Housing Search (IHS)
August 8 - 19, 2008

Due to space limitations, Georgetown cannot offer on campus housing to graduate students or graduate level exchange students. However, the Office of Off-Campus Housing (OCH) and the Office of International Programs (OIP) will assist you in your search for housing. Temporary on-campus housing (double occupancy) will be available for IHS participants from 4:00pm Friday, August 8th to 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 19th.

*Please note, those students who stay beyond August 16th may be required to change rooms on August 16th or 17th. All students must vacate the dorms by 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 19th at the latest. If off-campus housing has not been secured by this time, please make arrangements for temporary housing.

The cost for on-campus housing during IHS is $20 per night; the total cost will be charged to your student account at the end of your stay.

In addition to on-campus, temporary housing, IHS will provide the following:

• Housing information sessions led by a representative of the Office of Off-Campus Housing (OCH).

• One-on-one consultations with a representative of the OCH (located in Darnall Hall M-31). Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

• A student-staffed Orientation Information Table located in the Office of International Programs (Poulton Hall, 2nd Floor). IHS welcome packets will be made available all week, including maps, bus and metro schedules, and other apartment search tools.

Please reserve your space for IHS now! The registration deadline is July 20, 2008.

PLEASE NOTE: the search for housing in the D.C. metro area can be challenging, time-consuming, and sometimes frustrating. We recommend you begin your search NOW, prior to your arrival in the United States.
