- foster greater unity within the international student community through social network based upon the common experience of studying abroad in the United States;
- promote greater diversity and international awareness in the University community;
- serve as a student advisory board to the Office of International Programs (OIP);
- establish an alumni network to serve as a resource for international students.

President - Responsible for presiding over Board meetings; Oversees all the activities of the organization.
Vice President - Organizes volunteer logistics (i.e. reserving tables, tabling schedules, etc.); Provides general support to the President.
Treasurer - Handles all dues, accounts, expenditures, new members, rule observances, etc.; Serves as a liaison between SAC and ISA.
Secretary - Keeps the list of active members; Maintains the listserv of ISA; Facilitates communication between OIP and ISA; Creates and maintains communication with the alumni network.
Social Events Officer - Organizes on/off-campus social events on a regular basis throughout the year; Promotes ISA events to the larger university community, Responsible for artistic and creative design (i.e. for the website or tickets, etc).
OIP Liaison - Provides feedback to OIP regarding international student issues. Coordinates with OIP in organizing iWEEK events.
