Financial Aid & Scholarship

The following is a partial list of organizations that provide scholarships to students who wish to study abroad. Study abroad opportunity-seeking students are encouraged to start researching their funding options long before they apply for study abroad. Researching and applying for funding can be a lengthy process. For some scholarships, students must apply a semester or a year before departing for study abroad. Familiarizing oneself with the application requirements and deadlines in a timely manner will determine the success of one's application and consideration for the scholarship.

Once the student identifies his/her eligibility for a particular scholarship, it is crucial to establish contact with the organization that administers the scholarship. Students should keep in mind that in addition to the organizations listed on this website, there are many others that may also provide financial aid for study abroad students. Students can never start thinking about finances in the study abroad context too early.
